A Multisystems Intervention in Woman Battering

Domestic Abuse Project

This article describes the philosophy and programs of the Domestic Abuse Project of Minneapolis. The organization is designed to intervene in woman battering at multiple levels of society ranging from individual men who batter to community institutions charged with enforcing societal norms. This article emphasizes the need for integration between various levels of intervention. Conclusions are drawn from the Domestic Abuse Project's seven years of experience as one of the nation's most comprehensive organizations solely devoted to intervention in woman battering.
